Red Wings going to game 7
Once again, the Detroit Red Wings are on the verge of choking away a series lead against the Tampa Bay Lightning. They lost tonight 5-2. I can't stand Steven Stamkos. Go Wings, Go Pavel Datsyuk!!!!
Meanwhile, my Chicago Blackhawks await the start of their 2nd round series against The Minnesota Wild. It was announced today that Jimmy Crawford will start in goad for the Hawks. No promises that he will finish there.
Is there a better play-by-play announcer for hockey than Doc Emerick ??? no.

Game Time !
If you're not already watching, turn on NBC for a barn burner of a hockey game between CHI and NSH. 3-3 At start of 2nd period.
Divergent
Watched Divergent tonight. Are you kidding me? I have no idea if these books came out before or after the Hunger Games series, but is it just me or are these story lines identical?
Katniss and Beatrice (Tris) are the same girl!!!! I must say though, Katniss is much much more attractive.
On a slightly more serious note..........three weeks until the USTA Team Tournament in Lansing. May 16-17. I think this is like maybe my fourth year playing and I'm excited this year to play with my old buddy Mark Kuhnle. Win or lose, it will be fun, but I need to do some serious training on my returns and volleys.
Signed up today for my next round of hockey league play. This time here in Findlay at The Cube. May 4th. Should be a good challenge - smaller league so they mix the better players with us sewer rats.

A sunny day at FCC
Spent the day re-attaching windscreens that had come loose in this week's wind storms. 
First Entry for my New Blog
Welcome to my new blog. It's titled Bob's Tennis Blog, but don't let the title trick you! This is a blog site that will be comprised of many subjects - tennis of course, but other topics will be discussed as well: my observations about Findlay, sports, life as a parent, people that make me laugh, people that make me cry, my friends, my work, world news, the list goes on and on. We'll see what happens!
First things first, big props go out to my BGSU Hockey Team! Tonight we won the Adult Winter League by a score of 7-6. Extra rewarding, considering the opposing team had a real ringer, who scored basically at-will. We called him 'silver helmet guy' because of his helmet color. He would have been wiser to wear a black helmet like everyone else. Would have been much tougher to identify him on the ice, but obviously he wants to stand out, which is undoubtedly why he is playing in our league when he should be playing in the next level of play.
I'm finally tired from an otherwise exciting night on the ice! Goodnight
